About the Doctor
Dr. G. Gary Lian, MD, PhD
Dr. Lian received his neurology resident training at Emory University Hospital and Stony Brook University Hospital. His clinical neurophysiology fellowship in neuromuscular disease/EMG and epilepsy/EEG was completed at the University of Kansas Medical Center, where Dr. Lian also earned his Ph.D. He also previously served as a faculty member in radiology at Harbin Medical University in China after he graduated from there. Currently, Dr. Lian practices in the Shoreline Neurology LLC in Essex, Connecticut.
Dr. Lian specializes in general neurological problems such as headache, low back pain, peripheral neuropathy, carpal tunnel syndrome, seizures, dizziness, unsteady gait, Parkinson disease, multiple sclerosis, Alzheimer, stroke, and more. Neuromuscular disease/EMG and epilepsy/EEG are his particular subspecialty.
The diagnosis is explained to the patient in reasonable terms, and a mutually acceptable treatment program is begun. Evaluation and treatment can continue with Dr. Lian or with the referring health care provider.
